Books #10 The Perfect Marriage #11 The Missing Sister and #12 Deadly Waters

Finally blogging about reading.  I have been playing a game instead of reading.

The Perfect Marriage is a twist ending book - my fav.  Unfortunately easy to guess the killer.
It was ok.

The Missing Sister - I did not care for this book.  It really seemed to drag on longer than necessary yet the action scenes were quick.  I kept changing my pick of the killer but a little surprised.

Deadly Waters - Great twist ending.  A Me Too Book which I didn't want to read about.  I just tried to stick to the story.

Cross Stitch #12 -15 Mill Hill

No one reads this blog or everyone would know I love me some Mill Hill.  I have 4 finishes.

The bigger on is Spring Welcome.  New Kit with 2 sets of beads and no buttons.  Brought buttons for both but only stitched one.

2 baseball mitts.  Aren't they cute?

Finally got the snow flake in so I could finish the second snowman.

Cross Stitch #11 U of Beatrix Potter Sampler

It's been so long since I have posted.  I forgot to post this guy.

He was pretty quick to stitch.  Not alot of backstitching.

Puzzles #9 Americana by Springbok and #10 Calm by Spinmaster

Two quick puzzles.

The springbok was 500 pieces and Calm was 300.  Just a couple of hours.

Books #8 The Wife Lie by Anya Mora and Book #9 The Mother-In-Law by Kiersten Modglin

Finished 2 books and finally blogging about  them.  The Wife Lie - I can't recommend.  The plot is good but the author repeated herself over and over.  Pages and pages of the main character repeating the same thing.  Too bad it wasn't written better.  It would have been a great book.

The second book The Mother-In-Law by Kiersten Modglin was good.  The plot was good, the story flowed, just a few hiccups.  Overall, I would recommend this book.

Cross Stitch #10 Beatrix Potter Sampler V

Update on Beatrix Potter Sampler.  V is complete.  2 Animals on this one.  So it took me a week.

I think he is a pig.  So cute!

Books #6 Deep Dark Secrets Keri Beevis and #7 The Stolen Breath L.G. Davis.

 I finished 2 books!

Deep Dark Secrets by Keri Beevis.  Good and yes, I guessed the bad guy.  About a lady running from her abusive partner into her mysterious past.

The Stolen Breath by L.G. Davis.  Husband killed in hit and run the night she gives birth.  Ok, this book was slow.  I think they could have sped up the book and it would have been great.  Twist ending - I did not guess.

Puzzle #8 Big Ben Red 1000 piece

I finished this puzzle on Friday.  It actually took me much longer than I had expected.
My first Big Ben puzzle in quite a while.  Great design, good difficulty.  The pieces were on the thin side.  Overall I really enjoyed the puzzle.

Book #5 One on one by Freida McFadden

Finished another book!  This was a great book.  I have read another book by this author, The Ex.  Both have twist endings which I love.  This book begins with a group of friends going away for the weekend.  It ends much differently.

Puzzle #7 and Cross Stitch #9

I'm combining my accomplishments so maybe I can get caught up with everything I need to do.  First, Mill Hill Plum Tulips.  My first Mill Hill ribbon embroidery.  I've got to say I messed up over and over.  At one point I almost gave up.  Only made one, too many mess ups.

Next is puzzle #7, Springbok.  About a 3 hour puzzle.  Nice, Neat and Done.  Bought at Thrift store for 45 cents.  Still new in package.

Cross Stitch #8 Letter R and Cat Beatrix Potter Sampler

I have finished letter 5 - only 21 to go.  This is my catdog helper, Dallas.

Closeup of R.  I love Beatrix Potter but I think I underestimated the time this guy would take.  To top that off this kit is from the 1993, the thread is getting very old.  It will look great when finished.

Cross Stitch #7 Mill Hill Snowman

Finish #7, #8 to follow.  I had to order the snowflake.  He's so cute!!

While I was finishing the first snowman I finished a few others too.  Love actually finishing things.

Puzzle #6 Delicious Desserts by Buffalo

Another sideways picture.  This puzzle is by Buffalo, 2000 piece.
It took me over a week to put it together.  I couldn't believe it.  But worth it.

The Buffalo puzzle was not thick.  You could not pick up a section and move it.  It was enjoyable.

Book #4 I See You by Mary Burton

Ok, I  have to admit I could not put this book down.  I got caught up and stayed up way to late.

Quick read,recommend this one.

Book #3 The Stranger Inside by Jennifer Jaynes

Book #3.  I love the book until the end.  I hated the ending.  I would not recommend it to anyone.

It's a great mystery and I always try to figure it out before I finish.  I guessed right but it was just a guess.  That's how good the story was.  Then it was ruined.

Puzzle #5 White Mountain For The Love Of Wine

Ok, this is my first White Mountain Puzzle.  I bought it at Goodwill for $1.99.  And it was NEW in the bag.  Quick review - Not much dust, thinner than the springbok but it was a good thickness.

1000 piece puzzle challenging with the yellow and greens.  Overall, I would buy this brand again.

Cross Stitch #6 Beatrix Potter Sampler Letter Q

This letter went quick.  I think it was because there was not as much back stitch.

Still loving Beatrix Potter!

Book #2 When She Returned by Lucinda Berry

This book was different than I usually read.  More drama and less mystery but still has mystery.

I have to say I liked it.  I figured it out about half was through but didn't know if I was right until the end.  The story is about a mother who goes missing and then returns 11 years later.

I would recommend this book.

Puzzle #4 Springbok Grand Master Series The Puzzler II

I'm up for a challenge so when I saw this puzzle on facebook market place I went for it.
I purchased this puzzle for $5.  All pieces included - at least that is what the ad said.

The box says over 500 pieces.  It took about 14 hours to put together. And in the end?
It was missing one piece.

#4 and #5 Cross Stitch Mill Hill 2013 MH16-3106 Love

My favorite cross stitch brand right now is Mill Hill.  Whenever I make the little kits I always make 2.
My plan is to sell the other one but I just seem to have a bigger and bigger collection.

I did something different on this pair.  One is on white paper and the other is on brown.
They give off an entirely different look.  I have to say I like the white the best.
That was included in the kit.

Book #1 This Secret Thing by Marybeth Whalen

I play my game and read before going to sleep and this is my first finish on the year.
I liked this book.  In the first chapter the mother is arrested.  The rest of the book deals
with her daughter, mother and best friend, the lives she has touch.

At an hour a night it took about a week to read.  More drama than mystery - which I prefer but I
continued reading.  I will not hesitate to stop reading if it doesn't grad my interest.  Free with Prime reading.

Puzzle #3 Springbok Neoclassical 500

I love Springbok puzzles.  The pieces are nice and thick.  I can't find a date on this puzzle but I bought it at a thrift store for 65 cents.  It had never been opened, still in the original plastic bag.

Knowing all pieces were there was great.

Pretty easy puzzle to put together.  Less than a day.  And one more puzzle off the list!

Cross Stitch Project #3 Beatrix Potter Sampler

I thought I had the pictures figured out but no.  Finish #3 is the L and animal.  This one is going to take a while but it will be beautiful.

A picture of all 3 finished letters.

Looking great for January decorations!
