Project 77 Shadow Frame

This was a 70s shadow box in frame with colored popcorn and peanuts complete with straw flowers.

I started by removing the staples from the back.

I started filling it with things that represented me.

I put in cross stitch, birds, pearls and gems.  Then stapled the back on again.

Finished this in 1 day.  Missing one piece.  In the trash now.

Sorry for another sideways picture.  I started this cross stitch over 10 years ago.

I actually bought this from Hobby Lobby when it was new.  

It needed the back stitching done, that's all.  Probably took an hour.

But it's framed and ready to be hung.

Project 68 Paint Side of Cabinet

No pictures but I finished this task.  The trash can had rubbed a line against the cabinet.  It looks new a fresh now.

Project 64 End Table

Okay, this was a low for me.  I saw a table on the side of the road and stopped and picked it up.  The table had a lot of damage.  I did have to do some wood putty work on the front corner.  The legs were cut off.

So I'm trying to use what I have so I painted the table a dark red.  I thought it would look great with a piece of fabric I had.  It was way off on the color. So I repainted.

I think the color is a dark gray.  The fabric I choose from my stash has dark gray in it.

The cushion is a feather pillow I was not using.  The hardware was painted and reused. 

I did add wheels.  $3.00 at Menards for 4.  Love the new ottoman.

Project 42 Oak Jewelry Box

This is the oldest item on my list.  A vintage oak jewelry box.

I ,of course, forgot to take before pictures.

I started by painting the box with milk paint.  Then I didn't know what to do after that.  So I told the dogs to get off of my lap and I just held it and turned it over till something struck me.  Finally it did.  I ripped out all of the felt and decided to paint the inside and make it a box.

I bought paint pens and wrote the saying on the box.  That  didn't work well.  I hadn't put wax on yet so the milk kept clogging the paint pen.  I sanded it off and painted, then waxed and did it all again.

I purchased new felt lining from Amazon.  It was put in today.

My goal was a unisex box that could hold memories.  I think I got it.

Project 67 Family of Birds for 1 Week

I'm very excited about this.  This is what I started with.

And this is how much I gone done!  I have more done than the one I abandoned.

I have now done more in 4 weeks than 5+ years.

Project 65 Mill Hill Bunny

Usually the Mill Hill kits are my favorite thing to do.  Not so this time.

I just finished the bunny on the left.  I have to tell anyone who might read this I grew to hate this bunny.

But I finished and put on backing.  I even found another on that just needed backing and did that too.

Somehow I actually sold several things this month.  I have been working on one tub of books that need to go.  I have really done this halfheartedly.  But I love getting rid of things.
